JAIROS JIRI GWERU VISIT
Spreading Joy and God's Love: A Memorable Visit to Jairos Jiri Home in Gweru
What a beautiful and uplifting day it was when God’s Love Foundation partnered with Midlands State University Christian Union to visit the Jairos Jiri Home for the Deaf and Dumb in Gweru! The atmosphere was filled with joy, warmth, and God’s undeniable presence as we gathered to share His love, hope, and blessings with the wonderful children and staff. The turn-out was impressive both from the visiting team and the children eager to connect, play, and receive God's Word. The day was a testament to Proverbs 11:25 (NIV): "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed."
We kicked off with a lively soccer match that showcased not only the children’s incredible energy but also their determination and teamwork. It was heartwarming to see the visitors and children blend into one big joyful team, running, laughing, and celebrating every goal as though it were the winning one. There were also exciting games, arts and crafts sessions, and meaningful conversations filled with smiles and laughter. One of the most touching moments was when we gathered in prayer, united by God's love despite any differences in ability or language. We were reminded of Psalm 139:14 (NIV): "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." These children are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made, each carrying a spark of God's beauty and purpose.
Our visit didn’t just stop at fellowship and fun—we were blessed to bring donations of essential items, including foodstuffs, hygiene products, and school supplies. As we handed out these gifts, we reflected on Matthew 25:40 (NIV): "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."The staff at Jairos Jiri Home welcomed us warmly and shared their inspiring dedication to caring for these amazing children. Their love and compassion are truly God-given, and we were humbled by their commitment. As we wrapped up the visit, hearts were full, and spirits were lifted. It was a day that reminded us of the power of love, service, and the joy found in unity. God's love was evident in every laugh, every game played, and every prayer lifted. We left with a renewed sense of purpose, inspired by the children’s resilience and joy. We thank God for the opportunity to be His hands and feet and extend His love to His precious children.May we continue to be guided by Hebrews 13:16 (NIV): "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
Together, let’s keep spreading God's love far and wide, bringing light and hope wherever we go.
