This belief is the foundation of our charity group, God is Love, and the driving force behind everything we do.

Why We Give

Giving is more than just an act of kindness it is a reflection of God's own nature. When we give, we imitate Christ, who gave His life for us out of pure love. The Bible reminds us in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." This ultimate act of love teaches us that true generosity is sacrificial, unconditional, and filled with grace.

The Power of Love in Giving

God’s love compels us to help those in need, to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, and care for the brokenhearted. As 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." When we give with joy and sincerity, we reflect the very nature of God and spread His love in tangible ways.

Giving as an Act of Worship

Helping others is not just a duty; it is a form of worship. Hebrews 13:16 tells us, "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." Every time we extend a helping hand, we are offering a sacrifice that pleases the Lord. It is a way of showing gratitude for His blessings and being good stewards of what He has entrusted to us.

The Inspiration Behind "God is Love"

Our charity group is named God is Love because love is the foundation of true giving. Love sees the needs of others and responds with action. Love does not withhold but pours out abundantly. As 1 John 3:17-18 says, "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

At God is Love, we believe in love in action feeding the hungry, supporting the needy, comforting the weary, and bringing hope to those who have lost it. We do not do this alone, but through the power of God working in us and through the kindness of every partner, volunteer, and supporter who shares in this mission.
