Jairos Jiri Southerton Visit

Visiting Jairos Jiri Children's Home for the crippled and a few deaf and dumb  was a heart-touching experience. Sharing love and donating essentials reminded us of Christ’s call: ‘Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.’ (1 John 3:18). Filled with compassion, we saw the beauty of God's image in each child, knowing ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ (Acts 20:35)."

The experience made us realize just how vital communication is , thus it goes beyond just words. There we were, waving hands, pointing, and making the most awkward gestures trying to communicate, and the kids patiently 'read' us like pros. Honestly, it was humbling and hilarious. Now we are motivated to learn sign language, so next time, we can actually say, 'Hello' without looking like we're directing traffic.
