The purpose of Alignment with God

When God Has Deposited Something in Your Spirit, Don’t Be Quick to Discuss It

There are moments when God places something profound in your spirit a vision, a dream, an idea, or a calling. It stirs within you, filling you with excitement and purpose. However, in the eagerness to share, we often make the mistake of speaking too soon. Instead of seeking God’s direction, we look for validation from people who may not understand or support what God is doing in our lives.

The Importance of Alignment

When God deposits something in your heart, the first step is not to broadcast it to the world but to seek divine alignment. Prayer and meditation allow you to gain clarity, wisdom, and the strength to nurture what has been entrusted to you. Joseph’s story in Genesis 37 serves as a powerful example. He shared his God-given dreams with his brothers, and their jealousy led to his hardship. While God ultimately fulfilled the vision, the journey may have been different had he sought alignment first.

Protect What God Has Given You

Not everyone will understand what God has placed in your spirit. Some may discourage you, sow doubt, or even work against your progress. Just as a seed needs the right environment to grow, your vision requires protection, faith, and preparation. Keep it in prayer, journal your thoughts, and seek God’s timing.

Work on It in Faith

God entrusts us with ideas and callings to act upon them. After seeking alignment, start working on what He has given you. Take small steps, educate yourself, and surround yourself with people who align with God’s purpose for your life. Faith without works is dead (James 2:26), so while you wait on God, also move in faith.

Trust God’s Timing

God’s plans unfold at the right time. Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Even when things seem slow or unclear, trust that God is working behind the scenes.

Conclusion

When God places something in your spirit, cherish it, pray over it, and align yourself with His will before sharing it prematurely. Seek His guidance, work on it with diligence, and trust in His perfect timing. The vision He has given you is not just for you it is meant to glorify Him and impact others. Guard it, nurture it, and walk boldly in faith.
